OPERATION SLUMBER
 The Intrepid on the Hudson River – NY City

AHOY MATES! All Hands on Deck for an unforgettable sleepover on
The Intrepid! Imagine the sun setting over the Hudson River, New York’s skyline at your back and 41,434 tons of steel beneath your feet. Here you can discover what it was like to live, eat and sleep aboard this 912- foot- long aircraft carrier that has sailed the world 7 times, survived 5 Japanese kamikaze suicide plane attacks and performed top secret spy missions. On board you’ll be able to get a close up look at 30 restored aircraft including the Concorde, the Cobra helicopter with its signature grin, an F14 Tomcat, and the infamous USS Growler submarine.

On this extra-ordinary adventure all “sailors” will:

-Tour the flight Deck by flashlight,

 -Search for “treasure” during a special scavenger hunt,

-"Chow down" in the Mess Deck (Dinner & Breakfast)

-Watch a movie and hear incredible tales of the Intrepid

 -Take a ride through space on the XD Theater.

Your mission the next day after reveille and breakfast will be to board the Diversions coach that will whisk us to the Top of the Rock. We’ll race towards the skyline in a 67-story high-speed vertical shuttle to see New York from 850 feet up in the air. Then at noon hold onto your hats and get ready to board“The Beast,” an exhilarating speedboat that races through the New York harbor at 45mph. It’s a rollercoaster, a water ride and 30 fun-filled minutes of high-speed cruising all in one!
(There is a quick stop at the Statue of Liberty for a close up photo opp!)

Are you ready for an adventure like no other? Should you decide to accept this mission we’ll depart Baltimore on Friday at 2:00 p.m. for a 6:00 p.m. check in on the Intrepid. On Saturday we depart New York at 12:30 p.m. You will be debriefed, served lunch and a movie en route for a 4:00 p.m. arrival in Baltimore.
