MONET'S GARDEN SANS PASSPORT
It’s exciting, it’s warm, it’s just glorious! As a celebration of spring the New York Botanical Garden has designed a recreation of Monet’s Garden at Giverny in their magnificent giant glass conservatory and surrounding courtyards. “Horticultural theater” for the “divas of the plant world” is how Diversions describes Monet’s breathtaking impressionist garden. The stars are the lush blossoms, the Japanese inspired lily pools, never before seen Monet paintings from a private collection, his original palette and other intimate artifacts. Following our heady visit to this blockbuster show we will travel via private tram to see the highlights of the 250 acre NYBG including a stop at the award winning Rose garden with it’s 4,000 roses in full bloom. After our buffet lunch at the historic Stone Mill Café retail therapy awaits us at the Garden Gift Shop brimming with exciting items from jewelry to home accessories to just about everything on a gardener’s wish list (including plants and bulbs). The final curtain call will be 2 hours for personal time in Manhattan. 6:30am departure and 8:30pm return. Includes all meals and open bar. Thursday, June 14 @ $219
